I'm taking the red-eye to Nicaragua ... and will not see John or Louie for a month. I am anxious to post a picture of Nahum and Gener when I first see them, but until then ... here's Louie, the fourth "guy" in our family. There has been much "conversation" and questions about the little guy so I thought you might like to see him, hiding here in a shopping bag. He will love the weather in Nica, as he's a "heat seeking missle" and Oriental Shorthairs are known for loving the heat. It will be fun when we're all together again. Me and four "guys" ... great odds I think. BTW, our car sold - my brother bought it - Thank you, Lord!
Woo Hoo! God goes before you, behind you and on each side of you. PS 139 says that He sifts your path---meticulously picks out the obstacles and also finds the gems. It will be that way for you there. Love, JEC
It's great that your brother bought your car, and your sister is staying at your home, what wonderful concrete help from family. The rain continues here, the tropics sound good to me right now. I'm thinking of you at Pastor Ricardo's, getting Raul to help find a home. love and prayers - Diane

Welcome. And thank you.
Praises and Prayer Requests
Pray for the villages of La Ceiba and Las Chacaras as we prepare to leave Nicaragua (for now), that these two communities will continue to look to the work of their hands and look to God too ... as they raise their standard of living.
Pray for Gener and Nahum, who have both entered 'life' in Nicaragua. They're living apart and beginning to understand the principles they were taught. They are doing well, but need protection and guidance (always).
We came to Nica to help two brothers get an education. We founded Manantial, which works in poor communities and gives micro-loans to help them support their families by themselves. John teaches at a Christian HS, and Helen teaches jewelry-making at a local ministry that helps prostitutes find a better life.
